Erika M. Schreck Reiki Master MA,
English: Composition, Rhetoric and Professional Writing CPR and First Aid Certification
For several years I have maintained spiritual practices and sought knowledge that support my
path of a healer. When I was young, I experienced many life events that made me particularly empathetic and sensitive
with others. As an adult, I finally had words and support for my abilities and desire to help others.
After expanding into numerous modalities especially since moving to Colorado in 2002, I became certified as a reiki
practitioner for Levels I, II and III in the Usui style through my amazing Reiki Master Dana Sher in 2009. During
one of my attunements, Dana received an important message for me: "Be at peace and pass peace onto others."
In 2011, I completed my five-month reiki master program. I am honored to follow the various forms of guidance I've received and
share reiki and other forms of healing with you.
Crocheting and other forms of crafting are other aspects of my
Turtle Healing Energy business, and I enjoy making things by hand and infusing healing, loving energy into my creations.
Please learn more about me with my blog, Turtle Healing Energy, in WordPress.

Other Education
and Experience
In
addition to more spiritual, healing practices, I am a writer. My master's degree is in English: Rhetoric, Composition
and Professional Writing. In May 2011, I completed 13 years of teaching college-level writing courses (project management,
business writing, first-year writing and rhetoric, creative nonfiction) at different universities in Wisconsin and Colorado,
including teaching for the Program for Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Colorado at Boulder for the last seven years.
Prior to teaching, I worked in communications and marketing for companies like American Express; taught reading, writing and
math for the Huntington Learning Center; started my own consulting business for teaching professional writing seminars and
coaching and assisting individual clients with job application documents; and was even a seam welder for Milwaukee Electric
Tool Corporation.
